Initial Design

Based on the concept design, Zener Maritime Solutions can provide all necessary initial design documentation that forms a part of the tender documentation that may be used for entering a contract with shipyards.

  • General Arrangement Plan
  • Building Specifications
  • Preliminary Midship Section
  • Makers List
  • Lightship and Steel weight estimation
  • Stability calculations
  • Speed/Power requirements

Basic Design

Zener Maritime Solutions can prepare all basic key plans and main documents using modern tools for approval of the classification’s societies and other statutory bodies. These drawings then form the basis for detail design. The typical plans prepared under this scope includes.

  • Structural Scantlings and design plans
  • Structural strength calculations
  • Stability booklets, Speed and Power calculations
  • Schematic drawings with system capacity calculations for piping, HVAC and electrical
  • Statutory plans

Inclining Test

Conducting an inclining experiment on a ship is a crucial procedure to determine its stability characteristics. This experiment is typically carried out during the ship's construction or when significant modifications are made to its structure. It helps ship designers, builders, and operators understand and optimize a ship's stability characteristics to ensure safe and efficient navigation.

Zener is adept at providing comprehensive support to clients in all facets of inclining test. This includes meticulous preparation of inclining experiment procedures, precise execution of the inclining test onboard, and the post inclining test calculation.

Preparation of stability booklet.

Preparing a Ship Stability Booklet is a critical task in the design and operation of a vessel. This booklet contains important information and calculations related to the ship's stability, ensuring the safety of the vessel during its voyage.

Zener is adept at providing comprehensive support to clients in all facets of stability booklet. This includes meticulous preparation of preliminary and final stability booklet which includes hydrostatics tables, KN tables, Maximum allowable KG Table, Load line and draught marks, Longitudinal strength calculations intact and damage stability at different loading conditions.

  • Intact Stability booklet

Intact stability is primarily concerned with the ship's response to various forces and moments acting on it. Zener help in adhere to the critical aspect of ship design and operation to ensure the safety of vessels at sea which refers to the ship's ability to maintain an upright position and resist capsizing when subjected to external forces while remaining undamaged.

  • Addendum to Intact Stability booklet

Zener help in preparing supplementary stability documents in response to specific conditions, modifications to the vessel, or additional stability considerations that need to be addressed for safe operations. They can contain information about stability in non-standard conditions, guidance for special operations, or procedures for handling unusual cargo, among other things.

Tank Sounding calibration.

Calibrating tank sounding equipment on a ship is a crucial part of ensuring accurate measurements of liquid levels in various onboard tanks, such as fuel tanks, ballast tanks, and cargo holds.

Zener is adept at providing comprehensive support to clients in all facets of re-calibration of the tank sounding. This includes meticulous preparation of gap analysis report and the subsequent preparation of the sounding table at different trim and heel conditions.

  • Wedge Sounding Table Calculation

Wedge sounding is an important method for assessing cargo quantity on board a tanker vessel accurately. This method involves measuring the liquid level in a tank at multiple points and using these measurements to calculate the total volume of liquid in the tank, as these measurements are crucial for cargo loading and discharge operations, as well as for compliance with regulations and ensuring the vessel's safety and stability.
